Bio
Andy Park (Seonghoon Park) is a pastor, film composer, orchestrator, arranger, and conductor whose work bridges the film screen, the concert stage, and the sanctuary.
Trained in choral conducting at Chongshin University and in computer music at Sangmyung University, he went on to earn a Master of Music in Scoring for Film and Multimedia from New York University. Over more than two decades in Korean film and television, he has orchestrated scores for some of Korea’s most beloved films, including Miracle in Cell No. 7, Operation Chromite, Salut d’Amour, I Can Speak, and My Way, as well as the hit drama IRIS. As a composer, he has written for film and television, from Dok, a New Currents selection at the Busan International Film Festival, to SBS’s long-running Unanswered Questions. He served as music director for the film 2 Percent (2023) and for the documentary In the Sea of Strange Thoughts (2025), an official selection of the Busan International Film Festival. He also orchestrated the official anthem of the Asian Football Confederation and conducted the Korean Film Music Concert with the National Symphony Orchestra.
A dedicated educator, he has taught harmony, orchestration, arranging, conducting, and film music for nearly two decades. He served as an adjunct professor at Sejong University’s Graduate School of Convergence Arts and as a full-time professor and department chair at the Seoul School of Integrated Arts. He is the author of Jazz Harmony 1 and the founder and producer of the record label Enharmonic Music, whose releases include Sun Hang Lee’s first and second albums (2011).
Throughout his life, music and ministry have been inseparable. Since 1990 he has led church choirs in Seoul, New York, and Southern California, and in 2019 he composed and directed the musical Joseph for the 40th anniversary of Changdae Church. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from International Reformed University & Seminary, and currently serves as associate pastor, worship leader, and choir director at New Life Korean Church of Irvine.
Through Music, Worship and Thought, he shares reflections on music, faith, and life, hoping to embrace the depth and beauty of life and the fullness of love.
